Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan stands as the top wide receiver prospect in this year’s NFL draft class. While not considered a deep position in the draft, McMillan shows star potential at the next level.

McMillan surpassed 1,300 receiving yards in each of the past two seasons, scoring 18 touchdowns during that span. He finished his Wildcats career as the program’s all-time leader with 3,423 receiving yards.

The 21-year-old receiver measures 6-foot-4 and 219 pounds, giving him prototypical NFL size that helps him make contested catches against defenders.

NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah, who also serves as the Los Angeles Chargers’ radio color commentator, praised McMillan’s abilities.

“This is a smooth, fluid athlete that should be a touchdown machine once you get down in the red zone,” Jeremiah said.

Jeremiah compares McMillan to Drake London, the USC product who had a breakout third season in 2024 with 100 catches, 1,271 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

McMillan’s frame projects to make him valuable in red zone situations and as a blocker for teammates.

Draft experts project McMillan to be selected in the middle of the first round, potentially putting him in range for Jeremiah’s Chargers, who hold the No. 22 pick. The Chargers, coming off an 11-6 season and playoff appearance, need another receiving threat to compete for a championship.

The NFL draft begins April 24.
