North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Bill Belichick is exploring hiring public relations help following recent media attention, according to multiple sources.
Belichick has been in discussions with former Chicago Bears VP of communications Brandon Faber for the past couple months, though no formal agreement has been reached, reports Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.
“Per multiple sources, Belichick has been talking to at least one experienced P.R. specialist in the hopes of boosting his book tour and/or the overall interests of the North Carolina football program,” Florio wrote.
“Belichick has been having conversations with former Bears V.P. of communications Brandon Faber. The discussions have been occurring for a couple of months. For now, however, nothing has been completed or formalized.”
The 73-year-old coach recently faced criticism after an interview with CBS where his girlfriend, 24-year-old Jordon Hudson, reportedly interjected multiple times.
Hudson has been acting as Belichick’s PR representative recently.
Belichick joined North Carolina in December 2024 after taking a year away from coaching. The move marked his first college football coaching position following his departure from the New England Patriots.
He had spent 24 years with the Patriots before the two sides parted ways in 2024.
