North Carolina football coach Bill Belichick faced criticism following his appearance on “CBS Sunday Mornings” where he and girlfriend Jordon Hudson promoted his new book, “The Art of Winning.”
The interview began with Belichick discussing football’s impact on his life before shifting to his relationship with Hudson.
When host Tony Dokoupil asked how the couple met, Hudson immediately shut down the conversation.
“We’re not talking about this,” Hudson said in a snarky tone.
TMZ reported that Hudson was difficult throughout the entire interview, criticizing details and repeatedly “correcting” Belichick.
CBS reportedly struggled to compile the segment, which ran just under 10 minutes.
Belichick appeared disheveled during the interview, prompting speculation about Hudson’s influence over the coach.
While UNC is currently standing by Belichick, sources indicate the university is concerned about the situation.
“A growing sense this could become a problem,” a source told TMZ regarding the relationship.
The 24-year-old Hudson resumed posting on Instagram shortly after the interview aired, seemingly unbothered by the controversy.
The age gap between the 73-year-old coach and Hudson has drawn significant attention.
North Carolina may need to address the situation if it continues to generate negative publicity.
It remains unclear whether this incident will fade from public attention or develop into a more serious issue for Belichick and the university.
