Bill Belichick took aim at CBS News during a recent appearance on Sean Hannity’s FOX News podcast. The North Carolina head coach accused the network of conducting a “deceptive” interview earlier this year.

The interview in question aired on “CBS News Sunday Morning.” During that segment, Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon Hudson famously interrupted when anchor Tony Dokoupil asked about their relationship timeline.

Belichick said he’s been trying to get answers from CBS about how they handled the interview.

“I thought that the interview I had with them was done very deceptively,” Belichick said on Hang Out with Sean Hannity. “I’ve asked for the transcript from them, and they won’t give it to me. They’ve done that with others. I’m not sure what their policy is.”

Hannity suggested Belichick should sue CBS. The Tar Heels coach laughed and didn’t dismiss the idea.

The CBS interview became a talking point because of Hudson’s intervention. She stopped Dokoupil mid-question when he asked about when their relationship started.

Belichick and Hudson later issued a statement defending their actions. They said the edited clips made it look like they were avoiding questions about how they met.

“The clips make it appear as though we were avoiding the question of how we met, but we have been open about the fact that Jordon and I met on a flight to Palm Beach in 2021,” Belichick said at the time.

CBS pushed back with their own statement. The network said there were no restrictions placed on the interview beforehand.

“When we agreed to speak with Mr. Belichick, it was for a wide-ranging interview. There were no preconditions or limitations to this conversation. This was confirmed repeatedly with his publisher before the interview took place and after it was completed.”

The relationship between the 74-year-old coach and 25-year-old Hudson went public in 2024. They’ve faced criticism over their 49-year age gap.

Hudson has also become involved in Belichick’s business ventures. She’s secured over 20 trademarks and copyrights tied to the former Patriots coach.

The appearance on Hannity’s show was part of a busy offseason for Belichick. He’s attended the Kentucky Derby and supported Hudson at her cheerleading competition at Disney World.

During the podcast, Belichick also discussed his Patriots tenure and reflected on his Hall of Fame candidacy.
