North Carolina released its complete 2025 football schedule Monday night as part of the ACC’s conference-wide announcement for all 17 member schools. The schedule marks Bill Belichick’s first season with the Tar Heels.
UNC opens with a historic Monday night game against TCU on Labor Day at Kenan Stadium. It’s the program’s first regular-season Monday night game and one of eight games the team will play in North Carolina.
The Tar Heels face three non-conference opponents in September. They’ll travel to Charlotte on Sept. 6, host Richmond on Sept. 13, and make their first-ever trip to UCF on Sept. 20.
After a bye week, UNC starts ACC play by hosting Clemson on Oct. 4. The Tar Heels haven’t defeated the Tigers since 2010, when they last won at Kenan Stadium.
Following their second bye week on Oct. 11, North Carolina makes its longest trip of the season to face Cal in Berkeley. The mid-week game, scheduled for either Oct. 16 or 17, gives UNC another chance to secure its first win against the Golden Bears in three meetings.
The team returns home to face Virginia on Oct. 25 before traveling to Syracuse for a Halloween matchup.
November features four straight games against conference opponents. UNC hosts Stanford on Nov. 8, visits Wake Forest on Nov. 15, and welcomes Duke for rivalry week on Nov. 22. The regular season concludes at N.C. State on Nov. 29.
