According to Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger, Sorsby’s attorneys have notified the NCAA about an imminent legal challenge to any potential punishment.
“Attorneys representing Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby have notified the NCAA with a request for an expedited resolution to reinstate his eligibility over sports gambling allegations and informing the association that a legal challenge is imminent.”
The case involves multiple states investigating Sorsby’s betting history, according to Outkick’s Trey Wallace.
Sorsby is considering entering the NFL supplemental draft depending on the NCAA’s decision. If he receives a permanent ban, he’ll likely pursue professional football either immediately or in next year’s draft.
