The Cincinnati Bengals’ Tee Higgins enters free agency as the NFL’s top available wide receiver. The 26-year-old former Clemson standout is expected to command significant interest from multiple teams.
The 33rd Team’s Marcus Mosher projects Higgins will sign a three-year, $100 million contract, with the Pittsburgh Steelers emerging as a potential destination.
Higgins has recorded 330 receptions, 4,595 yards, and 34 touchdowns in 70 NFL games with Cincinnati.
The 6-foot-4 receiver established himself at Clemson from 2017-2019, totaling 135 catches, 2,448 yards, and 27 touchdowns in his final two collegiate seasons.
While paired with Ja’Marr Chase in Cincinnati’s offense, Higgins averaged 65.6 yards per game. He missed six games in 2023 due to injuries but maintained 14.9 yards per reception when healthy.
A move to Pittsburgh would mark a significant shift in AFC North dynamics. The Steelers haven’t signed a prominent Bengals free agent since the NFL merger in 1970.
The Bengals selected Higgins 33rd overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. He’s recorded at least 900 receiving yards in three of his four seasons.
NFL teams can begin negotiating with pending free agents on March 11. The official signing period opens March 13.
