The NFL Draft is just three Thursdays away, and the first overall selection remains uncertain. Miami quarterback Cam Ward currently stands as the projected top pick for the Tennessee Titans.

Colorado’s Travis Hunter is expected to follow as the second selection, though his landing spot depends on which franchise will utilize his rare two-way abilities as both a wide receiver and cornerback.

His teammate, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, recently met with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team faces a quarterback shortage after losing Russell Wilson and Justin Fields in free agency.

“On paper, the Steelers would be an interesting fit for Sanders. The team desperately needs a starting quarterback after losing Russell Wilson and Justin Fields in free agency. Currently, Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson are the only passers on the roster,” wrote Bryce Lazenby.

At Colorado’s Pro Day, Titans representatives were spotted speaking with head coach Deion Sanders, potentially discussing either Hunter or Shedeur Sanders as the first overall pick.

ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper projects Sanders falling within the top 10 selections. Kiper predicts the New Orleans Saints will select Sanders with the ninth overall pick. The Saints currently have Spencer Rattler and Derek Carr at quarterback, with Carr’s future seemingly uncertain.

Sanders landing with the Saints remains plausible if the New York Giants pass on him earlier in the draft. While New York represents a possible destination, Kiper believes Sanders will be selected later in the top 10. Sanders has expressed confidence in his abilities, stating he will succeed regardless of which team drafts him.
