One of Georgia’s top football talents is making some big decisions about his future.
Kaiden Prothro, a standout tight end from Bowdon, Georgia, has narrowed down his college choices to five schools. He’s considering Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Texas. At 6-foot-6.5 and 210 pounds, he’s a pretty impressive athlete.
In the 2026 recruiting class, Prothro ranks as the No. 32 overall prospect and the No. 2 tight end, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. This ranking takes into account evaluations from all major recruiting sources. He’s also the third-best player in Georgia.
Prothro has already planned official visits to four of these schools, leaving Texas off the list for now. He’ll visit Georgia on May 30, Alabama on June 6, Auburn on June 10, and Florida on June 13.
When asked what he’s looking for in a school, Prothro shared back in December, “Great coaches, coaches that build relationships with their players and how a school develops my position are things that I look at.”
Last season, Prothro had an incredible year for Bowdon. He caught 56 passes, racking up a whopping 1,203 yards and scoring 22 touchdowns. Over his high school career so far, he’s scored 39 times and has over 2,200 receiving yards.
Prothro Impressed at All-American Game Last Month
Just last month, Prothro showed everyone why he’s one of the top prospects at the Under Armour All-America Game week. His skills definitely turned heads, especially those of On3’s Scouting and Rankings team.
“Kaiden Prothro looked like the clear top tight end prospect in attendance at Under Armour. The 6-foot-6, 210-pounder was also one of the top 2026 pass-catchers on hand, along with Tristen Keys, who ranks as a top ten prospect for On3. While Prothro was quiet during Thursday’s game, he had two great days of practice, earning On3 MVP Honors on Day 2. He showed the athleticism and skill of a wide receiver while having the frame of a future tight end.”
His speed, ability to break away from defenders, and knack for tracking the ball were really impressive. Prothro even had a standout moment against Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Naeem Offord in one-on-one drills. This performance in Orlando just adds to his already stellar junior season, where he pulled in 56 catches for 1,203 yards and 22 touchdowns.
It’s clear that Kaiden Prothro is a name to watch as he continues his journey. Who knows what the future holds for this talented young player?
