J’Vari Flowers, a standout cornerback from Miami Northwestern, is shaking things up by reclassifying to the Class of 2025. He’s set to join a college team this summer, according to several reports.
This guy is pretty amazing on the field. At the recent Under Armour All-America Bowl in Orlando, he was one of the top performers among future stars.
Cody Bellaire, an On3 National Scout, said, “He was the most dominant defensive back from start to finish at Under Armour.” Flowers kicked off the event with some impressive plays, including multiple pass breakups and an interception. He even made a spectacular interception against K.J. Lacey and saved a touchdown with a late-game pass breakup. His instincts and ability to read plays really shone through in Orlando.
BREAKING: 4 CB J’Vari Flowers is reclassifying to the 2025 class, he tells us.
Flowers isn’t just fast on the football field. He’s also the reigning Florida 3A state champ in the 100-meter dash, clocking in at 10.43 seconds. Not bad for a guy who’s just 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds!
In the 2026 class rankings, he’s No. 66 overall, No. 7 as a cornerback, and No. 10 in Florida, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
Flowers’ Recruitment Takes Off
Since showing off his skills at the Under Armour game and the Battle 7v7 event, Flowers has been getting tons of attention from college scouts. He told On3’s Steve Wiltfong, “Since the Under Armour game there’s been a lot of recruitment going on. My stock definitely jumped up after that game.”
Schools like Georgia and Georgia Tech are now in the mix, with Flowers building strong relationships with their coaches. Miami is also in the running and might even be leading the pack. Flowers mentioned, “The program is coming back up. They’re trying to keep all their good players down here. Trying to keep everyone home. I like what they’re doing with the staff.”
For those keeping score, 2025 prospects can start signing with colleges next Wednesday during the February signing period. They have until April 1 to make it official with the school they choose.
So, what’s next for Flowers? Will he stay close to home or head out of state for college? We’ll have to wait and see!
