The Georgia Bulldogs landed a commitment from four-star tight end Brayden Fogle on Friday, pulling the Ohio native away from several major programs.
Fogle announced his decision to join Georgia’s Class of 2026 through social media, choosing the Bulldogs over Penn State and LSU.
The 6-foot-8 tight end from Lexington High School represents one of Georgia’s most impressive recruiting wins this cycle. Lexington sits just outside Mansfield, Ohio, about an hour north of Columbus.
Fogle’s commitment gives Georgia a unique weapon in the tight end room.
The Ohio standout originally drew attention as a basketball recruit before football programs recognized his potential. He’s a left-handed player on the basketball court and one of Ohio’s top dunkers.
His athletic background translates directly to football. That combination of size and leaping ability makes him a red zone threat.

Georgia’s coaching staff identified Fogle as a priority target early in the process. The Bulldogs competed against Penn State, which carries significant weight in Big Ten territory.
LSU also pushed hard for Fogle’s commitment, making Georgia’s win more impressive.
The commitment continues Georgia’s strong recruiting momentum heading into the 2026 class. Fogle’s size and athleticism fit perfectly with the program’s offensive philosophy.
His decision keeps a talented player out of conference rival programs. That’s equally important as adding him to Georgia’s roster.
Fogle’s recruitment shows Georgia’s national reach remains strong. Landing a top Ohio prospect while competing against Penn State demonstrates the program’s recruiting power.
The Bulldogs now have their their tight end commitment for 2026, giving them flexibility to pursue other positions.
