Georgia remains in contention for Jared Curtis, the top-ranked quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class, though Oregon has emerged as the favorite to land his commitment.

Curtis, from Nashville Christian School, ranks as the No. 4 overall prospect nationally according to On3 Sports.

On3‘s national recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong reports Georgia, Oregon and South Carolina lead Curtis’ recruitment.

“The No. 1 ranked signal-caller in the class and No. 4 prospect overall is highest on Georgia, Oregon and South Carolina,” Wiltfong wrote. “He spoke highly of the Bulldogs this past week. But talking to several sources regarding this recruitment, I think it’s trending Oregon.”

Georgia’s coaching staff continues its pursuit of Curtis despite Oregon’s current advantage. The Bulldogs have maintained consistent contact with the 2026 prospect.

Head coach Kirby Smart and his staff have positioned Georgia among Curtis’ top choices, though significant work remains to secure his commitment.

The early recruiting battle for Curtis highlights Georgia’s continued focus on elite quarterback prospects. The Bulldogs have signed top-10 quarterbacks in three of the past four recruiting cycles.

Curtis has not announced a timeline for his college decision.
