Bill Belichick’s relationship with Jordon Hudson created an awkward moment during his recent “CBS Sunday Morning” interview.
The six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach sat down to discuss his new memoir “The Art of Winning” and lessons from his football career. The conversation took an uncomfortable turn when personal topics arose.
Belichick appeared noticeably curt when questioned about his relationship with Patriots owner Robert Kraft. The situation became even more tense when the interviewer asked about Hudson.
The awkward exchange
Near the end of the interview, CBS’s Tony Dokoupil asked Belichick how he handles outside noise surrounding his relationship. When Dokoupil followed up by asking how the couple met, Hudson intervened.
“We’re not talking about this,” Hudson said firmly from somewhere in the room, causing Dokoupil to stop mid-question.
When Dokoupil asked “No?” Hudson responded with another firm “No,” making it clear they should move on.

The couple reportedly met on a flight in February 2021, an encounter captured in a photo. Their first conversation allegedly centered around one of Hudson’s school assignments.
Tension with Kraft
Before the Hudson moment, Belichick became guarded when asked about Robert Kraft around the five-minute mark of the interview.

Dokoupil pointed out that Kraft isn’t mentioned in “The Art of Winning” at all.
“He’s not. Well, again, it’s about my life lessons in football, and it’s really more about the ones I experienced directly,” Belichick confirmed.
When reminded that Kraft wasn’t even in the acknowledgements section, Belichick simply shook his head and said, “Correct.”
He stumbled briefly when describing the end of his Patriots tenure as a “mutual decision,” even as Dokoupil noted that Kraft had used the word “fired” when explaining Belichick’s departure.
Age difference
Jordon Hudson is 24 years old, born on March 5, 2001.
Bill Belichick is 73 years old, born on April 16, 1952.
