Michigan kicker Dominic Zvada showed off expanded range during a recent practice session. The First Team All-American posted video of himself drilling a 60-yard field goal at the team’s indoor facility.
Zvada took to Instagram to share the clip from practice. The video shows him connecting cleanly from 60 yards out.

The kick represents a significant step forward for the Michigan specialist. His career long stands at 56 yards – a solid mark that 23 kickers matched last season.
Zvada’s accuracy has been exceptional. He connected on 95.5% of field goal attempts and 96.2% of extra points in his All-American campaign.
Only five kickers made field goals of 60 yards or longer last season nationwide.
None of those five came close to Zvada’s consistency. Virginia Tech’s John Love led that group by making 88.9% of his attempts.
The combination of elite accuracy and extended range would put Zvada in rare company. Most kickers excel in one area but struggle to master both precision and power.
Zvada didn’t make the Lou Groza Award finals last season despite his First Team All-American selection. The award recognizes the nation’s top kicker.
He’s entering his final season with Michigan. Former Wolverines kicker Jake Moody won the Lou Groza Award before becoming a third-round NFL draft pick with the San Francisco 49ers.
Only two kickers have been selected in the top 100 picks over the last 15 drafts.
Practice kicks don’t always translate to game situations. The indoor facility lacks wind and crowd noise that can affect longer attempts.
Michigan opens the season with several non-conference games that could provide opportunities to test Zvada’s expanded range in live action.
