A new champion will emerge in the Northeast-10 this season.

New Haven won its second consecutive NE10 title last year with a 41-14 victory over Pace. The Chargers secured a spot in the Division II playoffs but made a huge leap in the offseason, transitioning from Division II to the Division I FCS level.

The championship race is now wide open.

Contenders like Bentley, Saint Anselm and Assumption will compete for the crown that New Haven can no longer defend at the Division II level.
