Notre Dame announced Saturday that Devin Fitzgerald, a three-star wide receiver from the Class of 2026, has committed to the Fighting Irish.
Fitzgerald is the son of Larry Fitzgerald, the Arizona Cardinals legend and one of the NFL’s greatest receivers.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound receiver plays at Brophy Prep in Phoenix. He chose Notre Dame over finalists Clemson, Arizona State, Arizona, Stanford and UCLA.
Larry Fitzgerald starred at Pittsburgh as a Heisman Trophy contender before his Hall of Fame NFL career with the Cardinals.
Devin’s commitment gives Notre Dame another piece in what’s shaping up as a top-five recruiting class nationally under head coach Marcus Freeman.
The younger Fitzgerald brings serious football pedigree to South Bend.
His father caught 1,432 passes for 17,492 yards and 121 touchdowns over 17 NFL seasons, all but one with Arizona. Larry Fitzgerald finished his college career at Pitt with 92 catches for 1,672 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2003.
Notre Dame’s 2026 class continues to take shape with high-profile commitments.
Freeman and his staff are putting together one of the program’s strongest recruiting efforts in recent years.
The commitment announcement came via social media Saturday afternoon.
