Ohio State Buckeyes are actively pursuing several top prospects for their 2026 recruiting class, including four-star cornerback Havon Finney.
Finney received his scholarship offer from Ohio State on Februry 25. The California defensive back has expressed significant interest in the program since then.
“Coach Tim Walton offered me,” Finney said. “I was extremely excited when he offered me. I love Ohio State and it’s always been a top school of mine. I’m definitely interested in Ohio State.”
The cornerback also discussed his upcoming visit plans with the Buckeyes.
“My plan is to visit (Ohio State) within the next month or so and do an official (visit) closer to the summer,” Finney said. “(But) no dates as of yet.”
Finney currently ranks as the No. 12 cornerback and No. 119 overall player in the 2026 class according to 247 Sports.
The Buckeyes’ recruiting efforts have intensified following their 2024 national championship victory under head coach Ryan Day.
Several major programs have also extended offers to Finney, including USC, Georgia, Tennessee, Notre Dame, and Penn State.
Ohio State’s defensive staff views Finney as a potential key addition to their future secondary.
