Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith became the first college athlete featured on a Red Bull can.
Smith signed an NIL deal with the energy drink company last year. Former NFL receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson surprised Smith on Monday by unveiling the limited-edition can featuring his image.
The design shows Smith making a one-handed catch. Red Bull will sell the cans exclusively in Ohio through December or while supplies last.
Smith’s On3 NIL Valuation sits at $4.2 million, ranking among the highest in college athletics.
He’s third overall on the On3 NIL 100. Smith joins other college football players in Red Bull’s sponsorship roster, including Arch Manning and DJ Lagway.
The Red Bull partnership adds to Smith’s growing NIL portfolio. He’s also an Adidas athlete and will be featured on the cover of EA Sports’ College Football 26.

Smith has 49 receptions for 602 yards and seven touchdowns through seven games this season. He’s also added a rushing touchdown for the Buckeyes.
Smith’s success fits Ohio State’s tradition of developing elite receivers. The former five-star recruit from Florida cited his connection with receivers coach Brian Hartline as a key factor in his commitment.
The Buckeyes’ track record of producing first-round NFL receivers also influenced his decision. Smith chose Ohio State over Miami, saying it was “the best fit for my long-term goals.”
