The Savannah Bananas broke an attendance record Saturday night at Texas A&M’s Kyle Field, drawing over 102,000 fans to their baseball exhibition.

The crowd marked the largest attendance in Bananas history. Kyle Field ranks as the fourth-largest college football stadium in the country, according to USA TODAY Sports.

Only Michigan Stadium (107,601 capacity), Penn State’s Beaver Stadium (106,572) and Ohio State’s Ohio Stadium (102,780) hold more fans.

The Bananas continue their stadium tour with stops at major college football venues. Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium hosts them May 23, with its 101,821 capacity offering another chance at a massive crowd.

Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium follows June 13.

The team wraps up the college football portion of their tour at Oregon’s Autzen Stadium (June 27-28) and Iowa’s Kinnick Stadium (July 3-4). Those venues hold 54,000 and 69,218 fans respectively.

The Banana Ball format has transformed baseball entertainment across the country. Games feature fast-paced action and fan interaction that keeps crowds engaged throughout.

It’s about the experience more than traditional baseball. That approach has made the Bananas one of sports’ biggest success stories in recent years.

The team’s ability to fill massive football stadiums shows how their brand has grown beyond typical baseball audiences.
