Shedeur Sanders Draws Cleveland Attention After Loaning Six-Figure Maybach image

Shedeur Sanders is spending his second offseason with the Cleveland Browns making an impact both on and off the field.

The quarterback recently graduated from the University of Colorado with a 3.9 GPA. He’s also been active in the Cleveland community.

Sanders loaned his Mercedes-Maybach to Bedford High School senior Marvin Thomas and his date LaMaya for prom night. The luxury vehicle is worth $200,000.

News of Sanders’ gesture spread quickly across social media over the weekend.

Sanders is expected to compete for Cleveland’s starting quarterback job in the coming months. He’s coming off his first Pro Bowl selection as a rookie last season.

The quarterback threw for 1,400 yards with seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He moved from fourth on the depth chart to the eventual starter during his rookie campaign.

Deshaun Watson is returning from injury this season. Sanders will need to prove he’s ready to build on his first NFL season and show critics he can handle the starting role.

Todd Monken takes over as Cleveland’s new head coach after leaving Baltimore. He spent three years as the Ravens’ offensive coordinator working with Lamar Jackson.

Monken will work with either Sanders or Watson as he looks to replicate his success from Baltimore.
