Expectations in Austin are higher than they’ve been in years. A national championship is the only outcome that would satisfy fans this season.
But the team faced unexpected criticism this week when an old locker room video resurfaced on social media. The clip shows Longhorns players performing a dance routine to “Tweakin’ Together.” It’s circulating as if it features the current team.

College football fans responded by questioning the program’s focus and professionalism.
One fan wrote, “Austin is definitely the city of sissies.”
Another added, “They ain’t winning a single game this year. Clock it.”
A third viewer said, “Them boys sagging and holding a pocket.”
Others questioned the program directly. One user asked, “What does Sark got these boys drinking.” A rival fan added, “no doubt Cam Coleman written all over this clown show.”
The criticism wasn’t limited to Texas fans. Oklahoma and Georgia supporters joined the conversation to mock the Longhorns before the season starts. One wrote, “y’all can’t lose to this…lol.”
Several people pointed out that the video is old, but the trolling continued.
One user claimed the clip is from previous seasons and named former players Casey Cain, Johntay Cook, and Sydir Mitchell. None are on the current roster.
Another fan said the footage dates back to the 2023 season. That year, Texas went 12-2, won the Big 12, and made the College Football Playoff.
Opposing fan bases continue recycling the clip to target the Longhorns. Whether the video is new or old, it’s another distraction Texas will need to ignore before kickoff.
