The latest rankings for the top high school offensive tackles heading to college in 2025 are out. Notre Dame’s signee, Will Black, is leading the pack as the top tackle nationwide. That’s a pretty big deal!
23 talented players made it into the top 300 this year. That’s a slight drop from last year’s 25 but up from 22 in 2023.
Let’s check out the top 10 tackles who’ll be hitting college fields soon:
Scouting the Stars
Imagine being new to football and already considered a top athlete. One player stands at 6-foot-7.5 and weighs 283 pounds. He’s fast, clocking a 4.90-second 40-yard dash. He bends low, pushes defenders back, and stays balanced. While he’s got some work to do on his upper body strength, his potential is sky-high.
Then there’s a hyper-physical lineman, known for his elite run-blocking skills. At 6-foot-5 and 299 pounds, he bulldozes through defenses with powerful hands and a barrel-chested build. Though he could improve his agility, his brute strength makes him a force on the field.
Another standout is a two-way star from Providence Christian in Charlotte. This guy is an explosive mover at 6-foot-5¾ and 276 pounds. He’s quick and agile, moving effortlessly across the field. Despite needing to bulk up a bit more, he’s already a dominant drive blocker.
And don’t miss the basketball player turned football star, who’s just started playing varsity football. Standing over 6-foot-5 and weighing 295 pounds, he’s got the flexibility and strength to control defensive linemen. With more technical training, he could be a top tackle.
The Athletic Edge
One tall and nimble player measures 6-foot-6 and weighs around 280 pounds. He’s a multi-sport athlete, shining in basketball and baseball too. While he may need time to adjust to tougher competition, his athleticism hints at a bright future.
Another big-framed prospect stands at 6-foot-5.5 and 310 pounds. His strength and balance are notable, and he’s shown improvement against top competition. Although young, his progress points to great potential.
Scout Insights
“Going into the Navy All-American Bowl, we had Dramodd Odoms circled as someone we really wanted to focus on. The SMU signee’s size is genuinely elite standing in at 6-foot-6, 300 pounds with freakishly long 35.5-inch arms and a 7-foot wingspan.” — Cody Bellaire, On3 National Scout
Odoms wowed scouts with his size and skill, dominating both the run and passing game. His ceiling is incredibly high.
Meanwhile, Oregon snagged Zac Stascausky, known for his aggressive style. He’s calm under pressure and will become a key player once he bulks up to 300 pounds.
Future Prospects
A nearly 6-foot-7, 310-pound talent shows rare dimensions and athleticism. With a background in multiple sports, he’s a fierce run blocker who improved his pass protection recently. Once he hones his skills, he’ll be a powerhouse.
Another explosive tackle at 6-foot-5.5 and 275 pounds has the length and frame to excel. Though he needs to work on his physicality and balance, his size and athleticism offer substantial upside.
These young athletes are set to make waves in college football. It’s exciting to see where their talents will take them next!
