Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson are reportedly engaged, according to Katherine Rosman of The New York Times.
The North Carolina head coach offered little insight when Michael Strahan asked about his happiness during a recent Good Morning America interview. Belichick simply laughed and replied, “Yeah.”
Neither Belichick nor Hudson has addressed the engagement report.
New evidence has fueled speculation about their relationship status. TMZ Sports published photos showing Belichick’s boat with a significant name change.
The vessel previously named “Eight Rings” — referencing Belichick’s Super Bowl championships — now displays “One Plus Eight Rings.”
“Graphics on the side of the ride show eight rings now encircle the bottom of the R in the boat’s name, while another ring wraps around the upper portion of the letter,” TMZ reported. “It’s, of course, not yet known what the additional ring stands for … but it’s hard not to speculate it perhaps represents an engagement ring he potentially gave to Hudson in recent months.”
TMZ noted the redesign might alternatively reference Hudson’s cheerleading national championship from Bridgewater State University.
The boat modification comes amid ongoing attention surrounding Belichick and Hudson’s relationship since his arrival at North Carolina.
