Dave Campbell’s Texas Football unveiled its 66th edition covers Thursday, featuring University of Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian on the main cover.

The magazine announced the cover reveal across its social media platforms. Sarkisian has guided the Longhorns to back-to-back College Football Playoff appearances and enters 2025 as a national championship contender.

Texas opens its season Aug. 30 at defending national champion Ohio State. The Longhorns are seeking their first national title in 20 years.

The gatefold cover showcases Celina High School and its championship run. Coach Bill Elliott appears alongside linebacker Luke Biagini and quarterback Bowe Bentley in a restaurant booth setting.

Celina captured the UIL 4A Division I state championship last season, defeating Kilgore for the program’s ninth state title.

Biagini earned Defensive MVP honors in the title game with nine tackles, a half-sack and a pick-six. Bentley was named Offensive MVP after accounting for 333 total yards and five touchdowns.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football has been the state’s premier preseason publication since 1960. The magazine covers Texas college teams, the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans, plus more than 1,500 high school programs.

The annual cover reveal generates significant speculation across Texas football circles.

The 2025 edition features a redesigned masthead. Editor-in-chief Greg Tepper said the changes aim to “make our founder Dave Campbell front and center.”

The signature of Dave Campbell now appears larger and centered above the Texas Football lettering.

Celina sits on the northern edge of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The school has established itself as a 4A powerhouse under Elliott’s guidance.

The magazine will hit shelves soon across Texas and surrounding states. The cover reveal signals another step toward the 2025 football season.
