The X account @FreddyLA7 has captured the internet’s attention with his viral journey across the United States. The German traveler came to America for World Cup matches but ended up discovering college football culture along the way.
His tour reads like a real-life cultural exchange story.
The traveler has visited major college football landmarks throughout his trip. He’s posted from Atlanta, New Orleans, Tiger Stadium, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and the famous Buc-ee’s convenience store chain.
The Journey Begins
Freddy arrived in Atlanta on June 5th. The city hosts the Peach Bowl and College Football Hall of Fame.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium made an immediate impression. The venue hosts the Peach Bowl, SEC Championship, and World Cup matches.

His first college football stadium experience came at Jordan-Hare Stadium. He attended the Argentina vs. Iceland friendly match where Auburn released War Eagle VIII and played “Swag Surf” throughout the crowd.

Teams Take Notice
His growing following caught the attention of professional organizations. The New Orleans Pelicans and New Orleans Saints offered tours of Smoothie King Arena and the Caesars Superdome.
The Superdome hosts the Sugar Bowl annually.
