North Carolina extended an offer to 2027 offensive lineman Colt Hauser during his visit to Chapel Hill on Thursday. The Cardinal Newman (West Palm Beach, Fla.) prospect received his third Power Four offer following meetings with the Tar Heels coaching staff.

Hauser made his first trip to North Carolina after visiting Rich Rodriguez at West Virginia earlier this week.

“After a Great Conversation With Coach Belichick and Visit Yesterday, I am Beyond Blessed to Receive an Offer to THE University of North Carolina!!”

The 6-foot-3, 280-pound lineman helped Cardinal Newman capture their first FHSAA Class 1A state championship in December. That title run has generated recruiting momentum heading into his junior season.

Hauser’s current offer list includes Rhode Island, NC State, Florida International, North Carolina and Texas A&M.

Dartmouth has also expressed interest in the lineman.

His father is actor Cole Hauser, who’s starred in Hollywood films for over thirty years. Hauser appeared in Dazed and Confused, Good Will Hunting and Fast and the Furious before landing his most recognizable role as Rip Wheeler on Yellowstone.

The Paramount series recently concluded its run.

Hauser is reportedly working on a spin-off with Kelly Reilly called The Dutton Ranch, which premieres on Paramount soon. Despite his filming schedule, he’s accompanied his son on several recruiting visits.

North Carolina’s offer comes as the program continues building relationships with 2027 prospects. The Tar Heels are targeting multiple offensive line prospects in the class as they look to strengthen their recruiting pipeline.
